My name is Nick van Tilborg, I was born on 11 June 1968 in the Netherlands in a small town called Bergen op Zoom.
I am an autodidact left-handed artist. I started painting when I was 16 years old. An uncle who painted himself, gave me a box of oilpaint at my 16th birtday. I've been painting ever since. I've been drawing all myl life, I started when I was old enough to hold a pencil. In my family there are several amateur artists, most of them paint in a realistic style. When I was 18 I moved to Middelburg.
The style I paint in is a magic-realistic style. I paint on canvas or panel with oilpaint. When I just started painting I already had my own style. I paint mostly on intuition. My work represents an expression of my emotions and my search for the unknown. My favourite colours to work with are purple and blue. Work: Freetime:
